The dress you'll reach for every single day — and still feel good in.
Best for: year-round everyday wear — the most versatile Lucy
Lucy is our best-selling dress for a reason. Sleeveless, midi length and beautifully flattering, she works just as hard in summer as she does layered over a tee with tights when the weather turns. Two proper pockets, a subtle back V-neck and clever concealed poppers at the front mean you can feed discreetly without the dress giving anything away. The front panel also drapes comfortably over a bump, a postpartum body, or neither — Lucy genuinely doesn't mind. Made from pre-washed 100% linen that only gets softer the more you wear it. This is slow fashion done properly.
Is this right for you?
Choose this if you want the most wearable Lucy in your wardrobe. Black works with everything, layers beautifully in autumn and winter, and is the one you'll reach for on autopilot.
Skip this if you're looking for something lighter for summer — the Lavender or Pink Linen versions are better for warmer months.
Why it works
- ·Concealed poppers for discreet feeding access — nobody would ever know
- ·Two actual pockets — deep enough to be useful
- ·Works over a bump, postpartum or neither — flattering at every stage
- ·V-neck can be worn at the back or the front — two looks, one dress
- ·Pre-washed linen that softens with every wash — gets better with age
- ·Made and designed in the UK under ethical conditions
Why it's a Latchette favourite
Journy creates slow fashion for every chapter of womanhood — and Lucy is their best work. The breastfeeding access is so discreet you forget it's there, the linen is genuinely beautiful, and it's one of those rare dresses that works for literally everything. We restock it because our customers keep coming back for it in new colours.
