The black nursing mini that works all year round.
Best for: a versatile wardrobe staple you can dress up or down
A mini-length smock dress in a beautifully textured black linen and viscose mix, sourced from deadstock. Vintage pin-tuck bodice detailing and velvet ric-rac trim give it quiet polish, while the hidden breastfeeding zips, bra-friendly V-back and side pockets do the practical heavy lifting. Slightly oversized and airy, it works with sandals in summer and tights and boots in winter — and fits all the way to 40+ weeks and beyond. The little black dress, reinvented for motherhood.
Is this right for you?
Choose this if you want one hard-working dress for every season — black goes with everything and the textured fabric elevates it beyond a basic.
Skip this if you fancy something lighter and brighter — the Poppy in navy check is the summery sister.

Why it's a Latchette favourite
